This week brought arctic temperatures. We had down to -20 °C in the nights and quite a bit of snow.

I visited this summit with my cross-country skis. To get to the top I had to go through half a meter of powder snow at temperatures below -14 °C and a chilly wind.

I stayed only a few minutes on the air because my hands were getting cold quickly. It was interesting to see how stiff the cables to the head phone and the key become at such low temperatures. They where almost brittle and I was a little worried breaking them. 

Rig was the SW-3B with internal battery and EFHW on 40m as antenna.
